Pathfinder Trip Gallery

Savannah, GA - January 23-25, 2004

It was one hour before “Oh Dark Early” when
the 24 Peninsula Pathfinders gather in
Newport News, VA, to travel, to Savannah, GA...
In just a blink of an eye our bus had traveled
about 500 miles, to a great walking weekend.
Our enormous Volksmarch spirit carried us
through the 7 walks and 3 swims that were
offered by the host club, ‘The Happy Wanderers
of Daytona Beach, FL

Our “Group” is taking a pit-stop somewhere in NC.

Our President, Shirley, worked at making sure that
we were comfortable during the bus ride.

Pathfinder walkers stop at a checkpoint in Forsyth Park.
See the historic marker for the details.

Andy and Pat stop for a picture near one of
the 28 ‘squares’ in the Historic District

Cheryl, Ron and Diane do the Pub Crawl.

Pat and Shirley on the ‘Historic Hike’.

The home of Juliette Low, founder of the
Girls Scouts of America, was one of the markers
in the area. See the historic marker for the details.

Roccie strolled thru the Shops and Squares.

Cheryl did the ‘Religious Ramble’.

Dick and Sonya pose by the City Hall.

Street artists are a part of the River Street area.

Thr rain Sunday morning could not stop us
as we continued to Volksmarch.

A little snow on the way home
made for a very interesting ride.

The next few photos are of various places
in the Savannah Historic District. The Pathfinders,
‘Strolled thru the Shops and Squares’, did the
‘Religious Ramble’, participated in the ‘Historic Hike’
and enjoyed the ‘Pub Crawl’.

We did much more than shown in the pictures posted.

More pictures to come on the next trip!
